IOTA SBOT CoP - Informational CoP Relaunch Meeting (20 Apr 2026)

IOTA is proud to sponsor the relaunch of the IOTA School-Based OT Community of Practice (IOTA SBOT CoP), a monthly, peer-driven virtual learning community for Iowa OTs and OTAs interested in school-based or early intervention practice.

Built from a successful 2025 pilot, the IOTA SBOT CoP is practitioner-led and evidence-informed—focused on the real challenges of school-based OT practice, not pre-packaged training content.

Pilot data: 90% said the CoP addressed the priorities they collectively identified. 80% want to continue. 90% said IOTA sponsorship of this type of programming would influence their membership decision.

Monthly virtual sessions — 1 hour, held via Zoom

Co-created resources you can use immediately in your practice

Who Should Join

Iowa OTs and OTAs working in, or interested in, school-based or early intervention settings (birth–age 21). IOTA membership is not required. All are welcome.

Cost and CEU Options

Sessions are FREE and open to all Iowa OT practitioners. Participants who wish to earn CEU contact hours may do so for a small fee—reduced for IOTA members.

Not an IOTA member? Joining or renewing reduces the CEU fee and supports programming for Iowa’s school-based OT community.

Thank you for registering for IOTA Hill Day 2027! We look forward to continuing to work on establishing better occupational therapy services across the state of Iowa with your support.
